In the discourse of the Islamic Revolution, the belief in Mahdism involves an active expectation and movement towards the emergence. The present study answers this question: What effects has such an approach, which is interpreted as the ideal of emergence, had on the political discourse of the Islamic Republic of Iran? The method of "theme analysis" has been used to examine this issue. To answer the aforementioned question, after reviewing the sources related to the subject and interviewing experts in the field of Mahdism and the Islamic Revolution, basic, organizing and comprehensive themes have been extracted. The findings of the study show that the themes of "Wilayat al-Faqih", "Justice", "Anti-arrogance", "Issuing the Revolution" and "Islamic civilization" and "Hope-building" are among the most important effects of the ideal of emergence on the political discourse of the Islamic Republic. As a result, the ideal of emergence in the discourse of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not merely a wish for the future, but rather a strategic and constructive force that has an active presence in all political and social dimensions of this system. Based on this horizon and perspective, a new approach can be presented in analyzing, assessing, and criticizing the performances in the Islamic Republic.
