Perhaps one of the results of modernity is development and progress. In the modern era, not only individuals but also societies and countries seek progress and compete with each other in this regard. However, contrary to popular opinion, this concept does not have a universal content. Therefore, this article raised its main question about the idea of "progress" in Ayatollah Khamenei's Discourse. The hypothesis of the article is that, contrary to the European-oriented view of the Westerners and some of their imitators in the surrounding countries, there cannot be a single meaning for progress, and therefore, any civilization, including the Iranian-Islamic civilization, can and has the right to Understand this concept with your intellectual foundations. The findings of the research have shown that one of the central signs of Ayatollah Khamenei's discourse is the idea of progress, but he has emptied this concept of its European-oriented meaning and then reconstructed it based on the foundations of Islamic and revolutionary thought. The approach of descriptive-analytical research and the method of data collection was documentary and library.
