This study examines the cultural, social, economic, and political factors affecting ethnic convergence in Khuzestan province and its impact on Iran's national security in the years 1395 to 1402. The main research question is how does ethnic convergence in Khuzestan affect national security? The main hypothesis of the study is based on the premise that ethnic participation in social and political processes, especially at the local level, can strengthen ethnic convergence and, as a result, improve national security. The research method was qualitative and used semi-structured interviews. Data were collected through interviews with 20 experts, including university professors, cultural activists, ethnic leaders, and local officials. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. The results of the study show that equitable distribution of economic resources, job opportunities, ethnic political participation, and government support policies are the main factors that strengthen ethnic integration and national security. On the other hand, social and economic inequalities and environmental crises can pose threats to ethnic integration and national security. Also, ethnic leaders and social institutions play a key role in reducing tensions and promoting ethnic integration.
