Justice has been one of the highest human values and one of the enduring ideals of societies throughout history. According to many thinkers, among the moral virtues, justice is the most fundamental, enabling the consistency and durability of human life and happiness. Justice has various forms, including distributive justice. However, not all thinkers are defenders of this approach, nor have they engaged in its critique. Hayek is one of the liberal thinkers who has raised criticisms of this concept, and his perspective is the central question of this article. The hypothesis of the article posits that a liberal thinker like Hayek, who emphasizes the priority of freedom, likely also critiques (social) justice. The findings of the research indicate that Hayek, relying on an epistemological basis while defending minimal government, criticized the social justice approach according to his intellectual paradigm, demonstrating that this ideal can even become a mirage. The article adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, and the method of data collection was library and documentary.
