The Palestinian issue, as the most important enduring tension in the West Asian region, has plunged the region into deep human and political crises for many years. Resistance, as the most important model of the struggle of the people of the region against the Zionist regime of Israel, has been the source of profound geopolitical developments and consequences in West Asia, especially after the October 7 operation. Therefore, the present study seeks to answer the question of how the October 7 operation affected the geopolitical equations of West Asia and the global order. The assumption of this study is that this operation created a profound transformation in the regional and international balance of power by challenging the dominant discourses, strengthening the axis of resistance, and declining the hegemony of the West. The aim of the present study is to examine the geopolitical consequences of the October 7 operation in the military, economic, media, and human rights dimensions using the framework of critical geopolitics. The present study, using a qualitative method and a critical geopolitical approach, analyzed library data and compared the positions of countries. Ultimately, this study concludes that the October 7 operation formed a new order in West Asia by halting the normalization of relations between Israel and the Arab world, strengthening the axis of resistance, and the decline of American hegemony by bringing to the fore the totality of the power of the hegemonic system.
