Introduction
Iran's political system has become a unique combination of parliamentary and presidential systems. In Iran, the Council of Ministers also has a duty to the Islamic Council, and the Parliament monitors their work through the means of reminders, questions, and impeachment. Contrary to the legal capacity of the parliament, this political body has not been able to have an important impact on the process of public policy making and supervision in the political system of Iran, and this issue makes the president and the cabinet do not need to answer in the parliament. Although the president is directly elected by the people and in this respect it is similar to the presidential system, but the ministers must receive a vote of confidence from the parliament, which represents the national sovereignty and political power, and in this sense, they are similar to the parliamentary system.
Materials & Methods
This research has been written in a descriptive and analytical way from the perspective of the goal. Considering the political orientation of the Islamic Council and the personal and political behavior of the president, this superiority has increased in some situations and decreased in some situations. Also, with the establishment and development of the activities of the Majlis Research Center and on the other hand, the increase in the level of education of the representatives in the past periods, this index has also increased in the 7th Parliament compared to the 6th Parliament.
Discussion & Result
Therefore, it can be pointed out that Iran's political system is more oriented towards the presidential system, and this is not consistent with some of the views expressed in this area. Also, no significant relationship has been observed between the political like-mindedness of the parliament and the government and the level of influence of the parliament. At the same time, there is no known relationship between the amount of representatives held by the citizens of the electoral territory and the functional indicators of the Islamic Council.
Conclusion
The result of this research suggests that the role and influence of the Islamic Council as one of the governmental powers that has political independence has decreased, and in the political systems of Iran, it is close to the presidential system, which has increased.
