The main theoretical foundations of the Islamic Revolution in the thought of Imam Musa Sadr refer to popular consent and allegiance to the ruler, the negation of the hereditary system, and the emphasis on divine sovereignty by considering the non-infallible government illegitimate. The rejection, negation, and rejection of the established ruling system through the mobilization of the masses and the establishment of a new order have been the prominent features of the theoretical foundations of the Islamic Revolution in the thought of Martyr Motahari. In this article, which has been compiled with an analytical and descriptive method and using the cultural theoretical framework of the Islamic Revolution, the effect of the mentality, cultural beliefs, and religious attitude in presenting the theoretical foundations of the Islamic Revolution has been examined, and according to the question of this research, the main aspects of similarity and difference between the theoretical foundations of the Islamic Revolution in the thought of Imam Musa Sadr and Martyr Motahari have been examined. By proving his theory through the negation of the monarchy, Imam Sadr establishes his desired government on the basis of popular participation and public consent, and Martyr Motahari directly attempts to negate the discourse of Pahlaviism through the mobilization of the masses.
