Accountability, as one of the fundamental components of good governance, plays a crucial role in enhancing political efficiency. This study focuses on the behavioral and attitudinal indicators within the Alawite discourse, examining the position of accountability in governance from Imam Ali’s (AS) perspective. The significance of this research stems from the fact that accountability not only ensures the legitimacy and stability of governments but also increases public satisfaction, strengthens social trust, and reduces corruption and tyranny. The main research question is: What is the role of accountability in Alawite discourse, and how can it be utilized as a criterion for improving political efficiency in governance? The research hypothesis suggests that accountability in Alawite discourse is not merely an ethical and managerial principle but a fundamental pillar of effective governance that contributes to justice, public satisfaction, and governmental legitimacy. The study employs a qualitative approach based on content analysis of Islamic sources, particularly Nahj al-Balagha, and a comparative examination of contemporary theories of efficiency. The findings reveal that accountability in Alawite thought encompasses not only the responsibility of rulers toward the people but also public oversight, transparency in decision-making, and adherence to justice. The study concludes that implementing accountability principles in governance systems, particularly in the Islamic Republic of Iran, can significantly improve efficiency, enhance public satisfaction, and mitigate corruption. Ultimately, adopting Alawite discourse as a managerial model can facilitate the realization of sustainable and just governance.
