The issue of this article is the role of psychological components in the policy making of Mohammadreza Shah Pahlavi II. Essen's research question is how these psychological characteristics have influenced the Shah's decision-making in foreign policy. The hypothesis of the research shows that Reza Shah's strict upbringing method has caused the formation of a special type of personality in the Shah, which has led to dependence in foreign policy. The results of the research show that due to Reza Shah's special upbringing and strictness, the Shah looked up to the American presidents as a father and in times of crisis, he tried to gain his position through them. Data collection method: In this research, in terms of the nature of the content, data collection will be mainly through the library and in the form of books, scientific publications and newspapers, as well as the memoirs of Iran's foreign and domestic policy agents in the current era and political analysts in the later era.
